 The
"Bunk House" is about a mile above Roan Mountain State Park and
has been completely renovated. It consists of two units that are
decorated in a western rustic style that children will love and we
like to call "Cowboys" and "Indians".
In "Cowboys",
there
are 2 bedrooms, one with a full twig canopy bed and the
other with (no fooling) an authentic looking Covered Wagon Bed with
room for a couple of young cowpokes.
"Cowboys" has a
fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker,
washer/dryer, and a full bath with shower. On the front porch, you
can sit in rockers and enjoy rushing Cove Creek across the road...and
out |

the back door, your own bubbling waterfall on
what we call Meares Creek and an adjoining secluded picnic
area. Of
course, there is a full compliment of pots and pans, plenty
of towels and sheets, cable TV with VCR - lots of
western movies and Louie Lamour western novels.
We decorated
"Cowboys" with our grand children in mind... the
children in your life will love it too!
"Indians"
also has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed with
rhododendron branch headboard, and the other with an
authentic looking (no fooling) Covered Wagon Bed with room
for a couple of young braves or princesses.

"Indians" has a fully equipped rustic-western style
kitchen with dishwasher, range, microwave, coffee maker, and
washer/dryer. And, of course, there is a full compliment of
pots, pans, and dishes. The Decor is authentic Indian with
TV/DVD, western movies and Louie Lamour western novels.
Oh yes, the bathroom has a wonderfully inviting 2 person
cedar shake lined jacuzzi.
