 Fish Camp
is a luxury cabin at 3500 feet elevation with all the conveniences
of fine living nestled next to the merging of two mountain streams
on the "highlands of the Roan". And wi-fi is included.
Fish Camp has hardwood floors throughout, is centrally heated and
air conditioned, and features two master suites with their own
baths. Four can sleep comfortably with plenty of privacy.
One suite features a king sized 4 poster bed, bathroom with a 6 foot
soaking tub and a separate pebble floored custom shower, a flat
screen TV/DVD, and a private balcony overlooking Shell and Doll
creeks. |
 The other suite has a queen size 4 poster bed, a flat screen TV/DVD
with with cable reception, and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub/shower
and a pebble floor.
The living room/dining room has leather sofas, a flat screen TV/DVD
with cable reception, a wood burning stone fireplace for
crackling fires (with plenty of firewood), and a large rectangular
dining table with upholstered chairs for 6.
The kitchen is all new and fully equipped with granite countertops,
a copper farm sink, front loading washer/dryer, Bosch dishwasher,
copper cookware, vintage "Rustic Plaid" dinnerware from Blue Ridge
Pottery, microwave, and ice maker.
With over two acres of grounds and 400 feet of Shell and Doll
creeks, the opportunities for outdoor living are endless. In
addition to the private master balcony, there is a large half-moon
deck accessed through French doors off the dining room. Out the back
door, there is a large field stone patio with a gas grill. And...our
favorite outdoor spot is a huge field stone patio at creek's edge
with a wonderful fire pit.
Enjoy a good book as the rushing creeks merge and tumble by, or let
the waterfalls lull you to sleep for an afternoon nap, or try your
luck in your own trout stream. And if you are energetic, Bradley
Gap, the Appalachian Trail, and the most beautiful series of Balds
on the entire trail are only minutes away.
What happens at our Fish Camp doesn't stay there, but rather gets
